The TCMS Executive Director will manage all aspects of the professional association for physicians in the Tulsa area including its two 501 (c) (3), organizations. The Executive Director reports to the twelve member Board of Directors.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

· At least five years of experience in a position of leadership and management, preferably in a non-profit or association setting.

 

· Excellent association management, communication, interpersonal organizational and analytical skills as well as Computer/Web proficiency required.

 

· Experience with the legislative process and working with legislators and association lobbyists.

 

· Represent TCMS with area media and the general public.

 

· Written and verbal communication skills essential.

 

· Thorough understanding of issues affecting medical practice and organized medicine.

 

· Experience in building management including operating and maintaining building and grounds.

 

· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and Power Point software.

 

· Experience in working with physicians.

 

· Provide administration for area specialty societies.

 

· Imaginative and innovative thinking in developing programs and projects.

 

· Availability to staff after hours Board, Committee and Council meetings.
